[Remote] Business Development Director - USA/Canada

They are seeking a Business Development Director to identify, pursue, and win new clients, focusing on building relationships and driving strategic revenue in an AI-driven market.
Responsibilities
- Source, pursue, and close new clients across mid-market and enterprise segments
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and the SDR Team to establish a modern and effective lead generation motion for the region
- Build and manage a strong, predictable pipeline aligned with Forte’s ICP and priority industries
- Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and close
- Lead high-value pursuits and deliver compelling proposals and narratives to VP/CXO-level stakeholders
- Lead consultative sales approaches and collaborate with Solution Architects and Delivery to craft winning, differentiated proposals
- Shape focuses on Managed Services and outcome-based models
- Position Forte as a strategic AI partner to clients
- Bring clarity and structure to positioning, solution, pricing and proposal development
- Build and nurture relationships with executive decision-makers across technology and business
- Maintain a strong understanding of AI, cloud engineering, and data/analytics trends
- Represent Forte at industry events, roundtables, and thought leadership forums
- Partner closely with Solution Architects during active pursuits
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeted outbound and industry campaigns
- Work with Account Management to ensure seamless client handoff and early success
- Provide structured market insights to influence GTM strategy, messaging, and offerings
- Meet personal revenue targets and activity KPIs
- Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and accuracy in Salesforce
- Embrace modern sales tools, automation, and AI to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Skills
- 7+ years of business development experience in digital engineering services or technology consulting – ideally in AI, Data and Modern Digital Solutions
- Experience in crafting and selling complex managed services and solution deals
- A proven track record of consistently closing new logos
- Experience selling custom software development, engineering services, managed services, and AI/data solutions
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence VP/CXO-level leaders
- Experience of modern sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and AI automation)
- A relentless hunter with creativity, persistence, and commercial instinct
- Strong communication skills and executive presence
- A strong interest in AI Solutions – for personal productivity and for deployment into software development organizations
- Highly organized, disciplined, and process-driven
- Collaborative across technical, delivery, and marketing teams
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with increasing expectations
