[Remote] AIC - Industrial Engineer Supply Chain & Procurement - Buyer Semiconductors
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Aquatech is a leading global provider of water and process technology solutions, tackling challenges of water scarcity and complexity. They are seeking a full-time Industrial Engineer of Supply Chain & Procurement - Buyer to manage the procurement of technical equipment and commodities for water treatment systems.
Responsibilities
- Promptly purchase all commodities and technical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, controls, vessels, and piping) for the manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems
- Copies data and compiles records and reports
- Operated computer terminal to input and retrieve data
- Purchases supplies
- Data entry of all purchase orders
- Assisting other departments when it is required
- Review requisitions
- Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
- Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Receive and contact vendors to find out the status of an order
- Contact vendors with discrepancies in quantity and quality
- I interfaced with all departments and resolved problems and issues with needed purchase items
- Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
- Traveling when needed to meet project requirements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Two (2) years of experience is preferred
- One (1) year of experience with SAP is preferred
- Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater treatment systems is preferred
- Prior purchasing experience with international vendors is desired
