[Remote] AI & Innovation Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Clinical Ink is a global life science company that integrates data, technology, and science to enhance clinical discovery. They are seeking an AI & Innovation Intern to work on real-world projects involving artificial intelligence, data science, and digital health technologies, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the team's innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects across one or more of the team's core competency areas (i.e., applied AI, data science, dev innovation, connected device innovation, and enterprise AI)
- Write clean, well-documented code in Python and/or other languages relevant to the assigned project
- Assist with data preparation, analysis, and pipeline development
- Support the design, prototyping, and testing of AI-enabled features and tools
- Participate in daily standups, team meetings, and agile development practices
- Document findings, processes, and technical decisions
- Present work and learnings to the team and stakeholders
Skills
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Foundational programming skills in Python or a similar language
- Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Coursework or experience in machine learning, statistics, or data analysis
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, or similar)
- Experience with SQL and database management
- Familiarity with REST APIs and web development frameworks
- Interest in healthcare, clinical trials, or life sciences
- Prior internship or project experience in software engineering or data science
