[Remote] AI Engineer

Larson Financial Group LLC is looking for an AI Engineer to implement and advance their artificial intelligence initiatives across the organization. This hands-on technical role involves designing, building, and deploying AI-powered solutions while ensuring governance and integration with existing technology.
Responsibilities
- Build & Deploy AI Solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven applications and workflows using Claude, ChatGPT and related technologies
- Take proof-of-concept builds to production — structured, secure, scalable, and maintainable
- Translate AI-generated or prototyped solutions into clean, production-ready implementations across the stack
- Build and maintain integrations between AI platforms and the broader technology stack
- Manage domains, hosting, deployments, and performance of live applications
- Optimize existing applications for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle — requirements, design, coding, testing, and deployment
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for code and application infrastructure
- Facilitate the design and delivery of training programs that help staff across the organization effectively leverage AI tools
- Create documentation, playbooks, and reference materials that support ongoing AI adoption
- Regularly communicate new features, platform updates, and best practices to relevant stakeholders
- Serve as the go-to resource for staff questions, use case development, and day-to-day capability building
- Facilitate and maintain AI governance frameworks, usage policies, and standards that ensure responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI tools and platforms
- Stay current on the AI landscape — new models, tools, vendor capabilities, and regulatory developments — and bring relevant advances into the organization's practices
- Ensure adherence to best practices in application security and AI usage standards across all initiatives
- Serve as the IT liaison for AI-related vendor relationships, ensuring integrations are built responsibly, securely, and in alignment with organizational standards
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage AI platforms and third-party solutions, owning the technical integration lifecycle from assessment through ongoing maintenance
- Collaborate with vendors on technical requirements, integration architecture, and platform capabilities
- Ensure all AI platforms are properly and securely connected with existing enterprise systems
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand problems and deliver effective AI-powered solutions
- Work closely with IT on infrastructure, security, and architecture decisions related to AI systems
- Mentor teammates and contribute to raising the technical standard across the team
- Technology needs at a growing, multi-affiliate organization don't always fit neatly into a job description. This role is expected to flex as those needs evolve — taking on other duties as assigned to ensure the organization's technology goals are met
Skills
