[Remote] Account Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Peninsula Polymers is a company specializing in specialty coatings raw materials, and they are seeking an Account Manager to handle territory management and sales processes. The Account Manager will manage existing accounts, generate new leads, and strive to increase territory revenue while meeting annual sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing accounts, obtain orders, and provide exceptional customer service
- Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments, establishing relationships, making initial presentations, and understanding account requirements
- Qualify new accounts; including working with A/R to establish credit limits
- Expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and applications and anticipating customer needs
- Contribute information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reporting activity
- Document sales call efforts and maintain list of existing and target account opportunities with status to share with suppliers
- Manage territory pricing; understand and document competitive landscape and price/volume requirements
- Proactively work with suppliers to learn their product lines and generate/promote market opportunities
- Work with A/R to follow up on collections where necessary (past due/short pay)
- Assist in efficient warehouse inventory management through forecasting and assist in turnover for specific products

- Meet or exceed annual territory and account sales goals
- BS degree and 5+ Years industry chemical sales experience
- Strong interpersonal skills for both internal and external communications
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively solicit and obtain information needed to complete tasks
- Territory Management; sales planning, prospecting and closing skills
