Job Title: Public Record Associate (Background Verification) Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Night Shift | Remote work arrangement. Job Summary The Public Record Associate is responsible for conducting detailed research and verification of public records using US court websites and official databases. The role requires expertise in reviewing court dockets, accurately interpreting charge levels, and understanding case dispositions to ensure high-quality background screening reports.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on local, state, and federal US court portals to retrieve case records. Review and analyze court dockets to extract relevant legal information. Accurately interpret and classify:Charge levels (felony, misdemeanor, infraction) Case types (criminal / civil) Case statuses and dispositions (convicted, dismissed, acquitted, pending, etc.) Perform accurate and timely data entry into internal systems. Ensure adherence to quality standards, SLAs, and turnaround times (TAT). Maintain strict compliance with background verification guidelines and legal regulations. Handle sensitive data with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity. Identify discrepancies and escalate complex or ambiguous cases. Mandatory Requirements Minimum qualification: HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) passed Prior experience in US Public Records / Background Verification is mandatory No employment gaps exceeding 5–6 months Willingness to work in US shift (night shift) Required Skills Strong understanding of US legal terminology and court documentation Hands-on experience with US court websites and public record systems Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and interpretation abilities Ability to meet tight deadlines and productivity targets Basic proficiency in MS Excel and data entry tools Work Details Work Mode: Remote (Work From Home) Shift: US Shift (Night Shift) Key Competencies Attention to Detail Analytical Thinking Quality & Accuracy Focus Time Management Confidentiality & Integrity
