PowerBI Specialist
As a Power BI Consultant, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and data integration technologies to support both internal and external business initiatives. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and develop reporting and analytics solutions that help drive informed decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of data visualization, data modeling, system integration, and modern Microsoft data platforms. The primary focus will be supporting internal projects and strategic company initiatives, while providing backup support for client-facing analytics and reporting projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple systems, integrating data from various sources, and developing scalable reporting solutions that deliver meaningful business insights.
Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards for internal business users. Transform complex business data into meaningful visualizations and actionable insights. Create and optimize semantic models, datasets, and reporting structures to support business operations. Develop KPIs and reporting frameworks that help leadership monitor business performance. Data Modeling & Analytics Design and maintain data models using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query. Analyze data from multiple business systems and translate requirements into reporting solutions. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting platforms. Support advanced analytics initiatives through effective data organization and visualization. Microsoft Fabric & Azure Solutions Assist with the implementation and administration of Microsoft Fabric components, including data engineering and reporting workloads. Support Azure-based data and analytics solutions, including data storage, data processing, and integration services. Collaborate with technical teams to improve enterprise reporting architecture and data accessibility. Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new Microsoft analytics technologies and capabilities. System Integration & Data Management Integrate data from ERP, CRM, HR, financial, operational, and other business systems into centralized reporting solutions. Support data migration, transformation, and ETL/ELT processes. Work with internal application owners and technical teams to ensure reliable data flows between systems. Assist in establishing data governance and reporting standards across the organization. Internal Project Support Partner with department leaders to identify reporting opportunities and improve business processes through data-driven insights. Provide guidance and best practices for reporting, visualization, and analytics initiatives. Support internal strategic projects where Power BI, Fabric, Azure, or data integration expertise is required. Serve as a technical resource for analytics-related initiatives across the organization. Client & Managed Services Support (Secondary Responsibility) Provide backup support for client reporting and analytics initiatives as needed. Assist delivery teams with Power BI development, troubleshooting, and reporting enhancements. Support knowledge sharing and best practices across internal and client projects.
Qualifications
Microsoft Power BI certification 3+ years of experience developing Power BI solutions in a professional environment. Strong expertise in: Power BI Desktop Power BI Service DAX Power Query Data Modeling Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. Experience integrating data from multiple business applications and data sources. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
