Part-Time Video Editor (Social + Long-Form) [US Only]
Leadlens is a boutique video content agency helping venture firms and B2B tech companies turn conversations into high-performing video content. We produce clean, social-first videos built for LinkedIn, X, and short-form platforms focused on clarity, pacing, and retention. We're hiring a part-time video editor to support both internal content and client work. This a US based role only. Pay $25–$30/hour (based on experience) 10–15 hours per week What You’ll Be Working On
- Edit 2 long-form videos per week (5–10 minutes, light graphics)
- Edit ~10 short-form videos per week (simple social clips)
- Assist with client work as needed (primarily short clips, occasional longer-form edits)
How the Editing Process Works
- Footage is provided via Google Drive, unlisted video, or stream link
- You’ll receive timestamps and clear direction so there is no need to search for clips
- Short-form edits are created in Descript (web-based editor) for speed
- AI tools such as filler word removal and transcript editing make the process fast and repeatable
Each short-form clip typically takes about 20–30 minutes to complete. You’ll start with about 10 clips per week which equals roughly 5 hours of work, with room to scale. Training is simple and takes about 30 minutes. Expectations
- Fast turnaround is critical
- Short-form clips are expected to be delivered by the next business day
- Strong instinct for retention and pacing
- You know how to tighten edits and remove dead space
- You understand how to structure strong hooks and the first 30 seconds
- Clean, professional editing style with clarity over flash
- Comfortable working from timestamps, direction, and repeatable systems
- Able to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality
Requirements 2+ years of video editing experience Proficient in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Descript (
Preferred but can be trained )
- Strong understanding of social-first editing and pacing
- Experience editing talking-head or social content
- Able to consistently meet fast turnaround deadlines
Workflow
- Raw footage, timestamps, and direction are provided
- Short-form edits are simple and repeatable
- Long-form edits follow a consistent structure
- Goal is for you to become a reliable extension of our editing workflow
Working Hours Flexible as long as the next business day requirement is meant for short form content. Not expected to work weekends, but can if preferred. How to Apply: Send and email to [email protected] with:
