Part-Time Remote Tax Preparer (U.S. Based Only)
We are seeking an experienced remote tax preparer to assist with preparation of:
- Form 1040 Individual Tax Returns
- Form 1120S S-Corporation Returns
- Form 1120 C-Corporation Returns
- Form 990 Nonprofit Returns
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of tax preparation experience
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using Drake Tax Software specifically
- Applicants without Drake Tax Software experience will not be considered
- We are not interested in experience with other tax software platforms
- Must be comfortable preparing tax returns directly within Drake Tax Software
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality is required
Education Requirement
- Must have an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field
Compliance Requirements Due to the sensitive nature of taxpayer information:
- Applicant must currently reside and work within the United States
- Applicant must complete Form W-9 for 1099 reporting
- Applicant must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States
- Applicant will be subject to a background check
Confidentiality & Non-Outsourcing Policy The selected contractor will be required to sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement. All tax preparation work must be completed personally by the contractor within the United States. Outsourcing, subcontracting, sharing login credentials, or allowing any offshore individual or company to access client information or prepare tax returns is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization. Additional Notes This is a remote independent contractor position. We are looking for someone reliable, responsive, experienced, and capable of handling tax preparation work efficiently during tax season and throughout the year.
