Part-time Medical Receptionist, Medical Office Assistant
Ponderosa Physical Therapy is looking for an experienced, friendly, and organized Medical Receptionist / Medical Office Assistant to join our team. We are a privately owned physical therapy practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a supportive, positive work environment. Our clinic is owned by Dr. Chelsea Lynch, PT, DPT, and Dr. Peter Lynch, PT, DPT, and our team includes ten physical therapists who genuinely enjoy working together. Responsibilities include:
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Scheduling new and returning patients
- Managing therapist schedules and filling openings from the waitlist
- Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility
- Obtaining and processing referrals and insurance authorizations
- Sending and receiving faxes and other medical records
- Assisting with medical billing tasks
- Communicating with the clinical team using Google Workspace (Docs, Keep, Gmail, Calendar)
- Providing outstanding customer service to every patient
Position Details
- Schedule: Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Location: Remote after successful completion of on-site training
- Training: Paid training provided by our office staff
- Occasional in-person meetings at the clinic may be required
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience as a medical receptionist or medical office assistant
- Experience with insurance verification, scheduling, and medical billing
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with Jane App EMR
- Experience working in a physical therapy or outpatient medical practice
