About Black Fashion Legacy Black Fashion Legacy (BFL) is dedicated to elevating and preserving the history, impact, and contributions of Black creatives in fashion. Through curriculum development, workshops, presentations, and educational resources, we celebrate Black fashion history and expand access to these stories in schools, organizations, and community settings. Role Overview We're seeking passionate and driven individuals to join our team as Outreach Associates. In this commission-based role, you'll connect BFL with educators, schools, cultural institutions, and community organizations to bring Black fashion history education into classrooms and communities nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated individuals interested in education, partnerships, and cultural preservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential partner organizations including schools, universities, museums, cultural centers, and community organizations
- Initiate and manage outreach through email, calls, and meetings to introduce BFL programming
- Present BFL's educational offerings including curriculum units, workshops, and presentations
- Build and maintain relationships with educators, program directors, and organizational decision-makers
- Guide conversations toward formal partnership commitments and program implementation
- Assist in drafting partnership agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs)
- Maintain detailed records of outreach efforts, meetings, and partnership progress
- Provide regular updates and insights to the BFL team

Compensation
This is a commission-based position. You'll earn a percentage of secured revenue from partnerships you help establish. Detailed commission structure and tracking system provided upon acceptance. Unlimited earning potential based on partnerships secured. Skills You'll Gain
