Job Summary FundGrow Foundation is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Online Grant Writers to support our remote NGO projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, drafting, and submitting compelling grant proposals that secure funding for our programs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives in education, healthcare, sustainability, and community development while working from the comfort of home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research funding opportunities from government agencies, international organizations, and private foundations.
  • Write clear, persuasive, and well-structured grant proposals tailored to specific funders.
  • Collaborate with program managers and leadership teams to gather relevant project information.
  • Ensure timely submission of grant applications and maintain tracking systems for deadlines.
  • Edit and proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with funder guidelines.
  • Prepare reports and updates for awarded grants to ensure transparency and accountability. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent written communication and persuasive writing skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus). Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, International Development, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit work is an advantage, but dedicated and talented beginners are also encouraged to apply. Working Hours
  • Flexible, remote position.
  • Approximately 15–30 hours per week depending on project deadlines and availability.
  • Ability to adjust hours based on funder timelines. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of nonprofit funding sources and grant application processes.
  • Ability to create compelling narratives that align with funder priorities.
  • Strong project management and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with NGO project work and community development issues is beneficial.
