Mobile Engineer (iOS / Android)
About The Role The role drives the development and optimization of native mobile applications, delivering high-performance, responsive user interfaces across both iOS and Android platforms. You will collaborate with product designers and backend engineers to define API contracts, architect robust local data storage solutions, and implement seamless offline-first experiences for millions of active users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust native mobile applications using Swift or Kotlin to deliver intuitive user interfaces and fluid transitions.
- Architect local data persistence and caching layers using CoreData, Room, or SQLite to support seamless offline-first capabilities.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs and WebSocket endpoints, optimizing network payloads and handling edge-case connectivity states.
- Profile and optimize application performance, focusing on memory footprint, battery consumption, and rendering frame rates.
- Maintain and expand automated test suites, including unit tests and UI automated tests, within continuous integration pipelines.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate Figma prototypes into pixel-perfect, highly accessible production code.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience specializing in native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development.
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or VIPER.
- Experience with multi-threaded programming, memory management, and debugging native application crashes.
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and App Store or Google Play Console deployment processes.
- Strong communication skills and experience working in agile, cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bonus: Experience with cross-platform frameworks (React Native, Flutter), Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), or building design systems.
