Mental Health Counselor (1099 Contractor – Telehealth)
Greenwood Mental Health Counseling P.C. is a growing virtual private practice committed to providing culturally responsive, compassionate, and accessible mental health care across New York. We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Mental Health Counselor to join our supportive and collaborative telehealth team as an independent contractor (1099). Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy services via secure telehealth platform
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Manage and maintain an active caseload
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Participate in brief bi-weekly virtual clinical huddles
- Uphold ethical and professional clinical standards
QualificationsRequired:
- LMHC, LCSW, or Limited Permit eligible in New York State
- Experience or comfort providing virtual therapy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, or multicultural populations
- Comfortable with electronic documentation systems
- Motivated, dependable, and growth-oriented clinicians
