Our client, a rapidly growing industrial manufacturing firm, is looking for an experienced Lead Procurement Manager to spearhead their purchasing operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US, with the understanding that occasional travel to vendor sites or team meetups may be required. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the supply chain to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency. This role demands a strategic leader who can identify new sourcing opportunities, negotiate favorable contract terms, and mitigate supply chain risks. You will oversee a team of procurement specialists, providing guidance and mentorship to foster a high-performance culture. Key responsibilities include conducting market analysis, forecasting demand, and managing inventory levels to support production requirements. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews, and driving continuous improvement initiatives will be critical. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management. Experience in leading teams and managing complex international supply chains is essential. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are required, along with proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
