This department is the backbone of our organizational safety efforts, focusing on hazard identification, strategic planning, and continuous improvement. By optimizing safety protocols and collaborating with both local and global teams, we ensure a safe environment that meets regulatory standards. Your role supports the broader organization by driving innovation and operational excellence. Through effective leadership and collaboration, you'll contribute to strategic goals, enhancing our ability to maintain a safe and productive workplace. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance, you'll help ensure long-term success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Implement procedures to mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Investigate accidents and provide solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Mentor and train EHS technicians and frontline staff.
  • Collaborate with operators and leaders to enhance safety protocols.
  • Maintain safety documentation and regulatory reporting.
  • Analyze and monitor trends in workplace injuries and illnesses to drive improvements.
  • Support safety program implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in EHS or related field, with a strong understanding of worker safety
  • Experience working with safety management systems and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for building local and global relationships.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and strategic safety initiatives.
  • Capacity for analysis and problem-solving with a strategic vision.
  • Experience in incident investigation and regulatory reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in Lean Manufacturing and safety improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes and sustainability practices.
  • Experience in new safety program introduction and innovation.
  • Basic understanding of human and organizational performance concepts.
