Job Description: The Landscaping Estimator will support the commercial estimating process by preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, performing back-end pricing, and assisting with bid preparation for commercial landscaping projects. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers to deliver accurate and competitive project estimates on time. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Mountain Standard Time Salary: $225/week Responsibilities: Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for commercial landscaping projects using takeoff software. Perform back-end pricing by sourcing materials, outdoor amenities (e.g., benches, BBQs, trash cans), equipment, and other project components from suppliers and vendors to support all-inclusive commercial bids. Contact suppliers and vendors to obtain current pricing, product availability, lead times, and quotations, and complete bid sheets with accurate pricing, quantities, and project information. Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to identify required materials, labor, and quantities for complete commercial landscape estimates. Assist in increasing estimating capacity by handling time-intensive pricing tasks, enabling the team to prepare and submit a higher volume of competitive bids. Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating a material and cost database, and organize and archive completed estimates, bid documents, and historical project data to improve estimating efficiency and support future bids. Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure bids are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines. Maintain organized estimating records and support continuous improvement of estimating processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Construction, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in construction or landscaping estimating, quantity takeoffs, or a similar estimating role. Proficiency in quantity takeoff software; experience with Togal is highly preferred. Strong understanding of construction or landscaping plans, materials, estimating principles, and pricing processes. Experience sourcing material pricing and communicating with suppliers and vendors. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with the estimating team.
