Junior Staff Accountant (Remote, Part-Time to Start)

We provide high-quality bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax services with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and proactive support. We are building a strong, collaborative team and are looking for a Junior Staff Accountant who is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to grow in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview The Junior Staff Accountant will support day-to-day bookkeeping functions across multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll journal entries
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or issues
- Support senior team members with cleanup and special projects Qualifications
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Proficient in Excel (basic formulas, navigation)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
