Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes engineer with deep expertise and hands-on experience to join our growing team. We are not just looking for someone who can use Kubernetes—we need someone who truly understands how it works at a fundamental level. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Kubernetes infrastructure that powers our IT platform. You will work with a talented team of engineers to ensure that our container orchestration systems are scalable, secure, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage production-quality Kubernetes clusters
- Develop and maintain container orchestration solutions and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for Kubernetes environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in infrastructure applications
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance
- Implement best practices for security in container and cluster management
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support
- Work directly with clients to resolve technical issues
- Document architecture, procedures, and best practices
- Stay updated with Kubernetes ecosystem developments and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals and architecture
- Experience with Cluster API
- Strong understanding of container technologies
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Experience in Linux system administration and other related concepts
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Strong scripting skills (Python or Go)
- Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Experience with OpenStack and IT infrastructure
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid IT environments
- Familiarity with Ceph storage solutions
