This part-time position is essential in ensuring high-quality primary care for our valued patients while working closely with both clinical and administrative personnel... Key Responsibilities  Act as the initial point of contact, providing a warm and professional response to all incoming calls regarding scheduling, billing queries, and medication refills.  Ensure timely responses to voicemails each day to assist patients with their scheduling, billing, and medication requirements.  Navigate patient charts efficiently to verify medication refill dates, appointment details, and demographic information.  Collaborate seamlessly with clinical and administrative teams on all billing-related issues.  Accurately process billing for patient visits on a daily basis.  Generate routine reports within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system concerning billing operations.  Aid in exporting documentation to other provider offices involved in the patient s care continuum.  Utilize Excel and Google Docs for daily workflow tracking and reporting.  Perform necessary printing, copying, scanning, and mailing tasks as directed by the clinical and administrative teams. Required Skills  Proven experience in medical billing is crucial.  Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage positively with patients both in-person and via phone.  Strong organizational capabilities, enabling prompt follow-up calls related to scheduling, medication refills, and administrative tasks as directed by clinical teams.  A willingness to adopt a telehealth platform for remote work, with potential in-person responsibilities as determined by practice leadership in response to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. Qualifications  Previous experience in medical billing or a similar field is required.  A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
