We offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary of a competitive salary.   Job Description: Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) in Chesapeake, VA, has an immediate need for an IT Technician 2 with demonstrated experience providing general infrastructure support, including responding to and updating trouble calls; performing break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems; and performing repair activities in order to return equipment, systems or networks to normal operational status. Primary responsibilities include:  Remotely conduct troubleshooting and perform break/fix activities on MSC shipboard IT networks using a satellite connection to connect, login, and conduct work  Coordinate remote support needed with StratasCorp Technician Dispatcher and Remote Administration team, as well as shipboard crew, to ensure work performed is in line with contract priorities  Gather data as needed and provide to StratasCorp teams to respond to data calls  Prepare and provide daily work reports Job Requirements:  Must possess current IAT II certification, including an appropriate Computing Environment certification, in accordance with IAWF DoD 8570.01M  Must have 5 years of progressive IT technical experience in an enterprise-scale environment  Must possess knowledge or skillset in some or all of the following areas: Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016), Windows Workstation (7/10), virtualization technologies (VMWare Server/Microsoft Hyper-V), computer network troubleshooting, Microsoft Active Directory (user and group administration), Microsoft Exchange (2007/2010/2016) Apply Job!  Your Future Starts Here Don't miss out on this exciting role.
