To the Ambright Education Group for the Promotion of Group Activities to Schools/Universities/Institutions. Previous experience of the US universities ranking QS 40 is essential. The post would, in addition, be suitable for a recently retired senior US educational admissions and/or international education administrator. Job description The post is to provide administrative support for the promotion of Ambright within the USA, primarily to highly regarded US universities/schools/institutions. The following administrative duties will be performed with full support from the Ambright Education Group:
- The promotion of Ambright’s educational program to US university admissions offices/international offices.
- The provision of support for the promotion of the AST (Aptitude Scholastic Test) in the USA.
- The provision of support for promoting ACEIS (Ambright China Excellence Identification Scheme) to US university admissions offices.
- Administrative responsibility for the organisation of Ambright-sponsored seminars and conferences in the USA on Chinese education and other topics that admissions officers will be interested in or may benefit from attending.
- The provision of support for promoting SAYA, AYC, AFT, etc. exchange programs to US schools/institutions.
- The provision of support for promoting other cultural, humanity and art exchange programs and activities.
- Day-to-day administration of duties associated with Ambright activities, including responding to enquiries.
The post-holder will report directly to the USA-based director or otherwise designated. Person profile: The role holder will provide a broad range of administrative support to promote Ambright Education Group within the USA. S/he will be educated to degree level, will be IT literate and have enthusiasm for teamwork, multi-disciplinary projects and communication with external partners. Previous experience of the US universities ranking QS 40 is essential. The post would, in addition, be suitable for a recently retired senior US educational admissions and/or international education administrator. Term: One-year term, full-time or part-time (3 days per week), flexible working hours for part-time, renewable automatically subject to satisfactory performance. The period of notice of termination of employment will be 1 month for both employer and employee. Specific activities of the role will include: A) Screen and Select: Using an established and extensive network , students from hundreds of leading Chinese high schools are identified and screened via a series of processes designed specifically to assess student aptitude. The Coordinator will become familiar with the process and promote this within US universities. B) Educate: Different admissions standards mean that students going overseas to study require different background knowledge than students applying to Chinese universities. The Coordinator will advise students and US universities on the foundations they need to succeed in their studies abroad, or propose and build partnerships for foundation/bridge programs with US universities. C) Tests: The Aptitude Scholastic Test (AST) has been designed in cooperation with leading international and Chinese scholars specifically for Chinese students who aspire to apply to international universities.
