Healthy & Safety Technician - U.S. Travel Role
DirectHire The ACE Consulting Group is partnering with one of our valued clients to hire an experienced Health & Safety Technician to support environmental health and safety projects throughout the U.S. This role is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys working in the field, partnering directly with clients, and helping organizations maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Note: these are direct hire opportunities Key Responsibilities of the Health & Safety Technician :
- Conduct health and safety assessments, inspections, air sampling, and environmental monitoring activities
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, providing exceptional service and technical expertise
- Prepare accurate technical reports, documentation, and regulatory comparisons
- Coordinate project equipment, laboratory testing, and daily project activities
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable health and safety regulations
- Travel throughout the Midwest to customer locations (travel scheduled in advance with expenses reimbursed and per diem provided)
- Collaborate with Project Managers while working independently in manufacturing, construction, industrial, and office environments
Qualifications of the Health & Safety Technician :
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in environmental health & safety, industrial hygiene, construction safety, environmental consulting, or a related technical field preferred
- Experience with asbestos monitoring, asbestos inspections, air sampling, lead sampling, mold sampling, or similar environmental services is highly desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license and dependable personal vehicle required
Schedule for the Health & Safety Technician role:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- Up to 50% travel throughout the Northeast
- Will work in the field at client sites and/or remotely from home
- Travel is planned in advance, with business expenses reimbursed and per diem provided
Physical Requirements for the Health & Safety Technician role:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable climbing ladders and stairs and working at heights
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable wearing respirators, protective equipment, and fall protection when required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods
Compensation
- $75,000 - $90,000+, based on experience
