ROLE OVERVIEW: We are seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium, Java, and API testing to join our QA team. The role involves designing and executing automation frameworks for web-based applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables in an Agile environment. Candidates with exposure to CI/CD pipelines and financial domain knowledge, especially in treasury and risk systems, will be highly valued. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium with Java Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications Perform API testing using REST-based services (RestAssured/Postman) Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile/Scrum environment Identify, log, and track defects; perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support resolution Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing Participate in test planning, estimation, and sprint deliverables Maintain test data, test environments, and documentation Drive automation improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE (Required or Optional): Preferred: Exposure to Treasury and Risk Management systems in banking/financial services domain REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Selenium with Java Solid Core Java knowledge with experience working on classic (legacy) application components Experience in API testing (REST APIs) using tools like RestAssured / Postman Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines (CI/CD integration) Strong understanding of web application testing Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology Knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG/JUnit) Strong debugging and problem-solving skills PREFERRED SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE): Experience with Spring Boot applications Hands-on experience in Spock testing framework (Groovy-based) Exposure to Groovy scripting Experience with Cypress or equivalent modern automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, WebdriverIO) Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD enhancements Basic knowledge of database testing (SQL) EDUCATION: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field At Zensar, we’re “experience-led everything”.
