Google Cloud Operations Engineer
We are seeking a Google Cloud Operations Engineer to support and maintain the CI/CD landscape, Ops, and SRE for a managed service focused on Gerrit/Perforce and Google Cloud Platform services. This fully remote role involves ensuring the high availability and reliability of critical tools and infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Support Gerrit/Perforce and Google Cloud Platform services with 24/7 availability (7-10 days per month, 3-4 consecutive days of on-call followed by regular working days) to address incidents and service degradation
- Work on IaC improvements and product development during non-support cadence
- Manage and resolve issues related to Google Cloud, Google Kubernetes Engine, Terraform, Kubernetes, Gerrit, and Perforce services
- Collaborate with the tools team to maintain CI/CD operations
- Monitor and optimize CI/CD processes for greater efficiency and reliability
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in relevant roles
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform with a focus on Gerrit/Perforce support
- Background in CI/CD landscape Ops
- Knowledge of Git, proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, skills in Kubernetes
- Competency in Terraform, capability to troubleshoot
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Fluency in English, written and verbal, with strong communication skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Gerrit
- Understanding of Java troubleshooting
- Skills in Splunk
