Fractional FP&A Consultant (US East Coast)
Overview
A private equity-backed manufacturing company is seeking part-time FP&A support during a critical stage of growth and transaction preparation. The business operates in a lean finance environment and is looking for a consultant to support forecasting, financial modeling, pricing analysis, and board-level reporting as the company prepares for a potential sale process over the next 12–18 months. This is an ongoing, hands-on role with direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scenario models, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Perform pricing analysis and NPV calculations
- Support budgeting and ongoing FP&A activities
- Assist with board-level reporting and financial storytelling
- Partner closely with the CFO on strategic and operational finance initiatives
- Provide additional support during periods of increased transaction activity
Ideal Candidate
- Strong FP&A experience in consulting or corporate finance environments
- Experience supporting PE-backed or middle-market businesses preferred
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, and/or Power BI preferred
- Experience in B2B companies with physical products or manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Comfortable operating independently in lean finance environments
Project Details Start: May Duration: ~ 6 months, possible extension Time commitment: ~10-15 hours per week ongoing. Could be 30-40 hours per week for the first two weeks, and when the sale process starts to ramp up Location: Remote, East Coast hours Expected rate: US$80 - $100 per hour Project ID#: 8784 This is a 1099 contract role that does not offer health benefits
