Fashion Print Designer Needed for Vintage Resort-Inspired Kimono Artwork
We are a small independent fashion brand based in the Middle East looking for a creative Fashion Print Artist or Textile Designer to help bring a new kimono-style abaya print to life. For this project, we're looking for someone with a strong eye for composition, color, symmetry, and storytelling through print. We love artwork that feels collectible, thoughtful, and full of detail. The moodboard attached should be used as inspiration for the overall feeling, color palette, and layout direction. We're particularly drawn to rich olive greens, burgundy, warm ochres, earthy neutrals, and tones that feel both autumnal and resort-inspired. While the inspiration has a slightly heritage-inspired feel, we'd love to see a fresh interpretation that blends resortwear with subtle Middle Eastern influences. Think decorative tiles, palm motifs, dates, olives, chess pieces, botanical elements, geometric symbols, vintage scarf layouts, travel-inspired details, and unique icons that tell a story. We're not looking for an exact copy of the references. We'd love to see your creativity and personal design approach while staying true to the overall mood and color direction. The mockup should be treated as a starting point. Designers are encouraged to improve the composition, introduce new elements, rethink the borders, and create a more elevated and balanced final artwork. Please note:
- This is a print-only design
- No embroidery, tassels, fringe, or physical embellishments
- Bottom borders and sleeve treatments can be redesigned and improved
- We welcome original icon ideas and creative storytelling through print
We'll provide everything needed to get started, including:
- Design brief and moodboard
- Garment measurements
- Previous production example showing front, back, and sleeve layouts
- Print dimensions and specifications
- PNG library of decorative elements and motifs that can be incorporated into the artwork
The final design should follow the same garment layout and measurements as the example file provided, including the front, back, and sleeves. Deliverables:
- Editable PSD file with organized layers
- Print-ready PDF following the provided layout template
- PNG icon pack containing all original motifs, borders created for the project (transparent background)
- Artwork prepared using the measurements and specifications provided
