This role will require the ability to express and convey the association between the identified business needs and the developed capabilities of the Value Stream guides, as well as understand the effect and influence of broader industry and technology trends on the FedEx strategic business vision.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with Portfolio business engineers, business and IT Value Stream owners, IT partners, and other stakeholders to understand and document FXL strategy for a Value Stream, including target capabilities, present state assessment, and recommendations for transformation plans with sequencing Collaborate with Portfolio Business Engineers and Services IT Architects to apply architectural principles to break down FXL Portfolio epics into meaningful capability groupings for the Value Stream teams Lead collaboration efforts with the Business and IT architecture community to apply architectural principles to translate Value Stream objectives and requirements into meaningful guides for the Value Stream Support the Protected Portfolio Kanban process by further breaking down the portfolio stories during the amazing review and analysis into smaller, Portfolio excess piles of work that can be consumed by SAFe Value Streams Work with the Portfolio Business Engineers to synchronize Value Stream execution with the strategic roadmap Contribute to the continued growth in understanding and knowledge of Business Architecture practices, processes, and tools throughout FedEx Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Math, IT systems, or a related discipline that analyzes complex subjects and converts them into smaller, simplified parts At least 2 years of experience in creating business capability maps, breaking down complex concepts, and technical insight to perform the business architecture of an established Value Stream Deep knowledge of organizational operations and the broader FedEx enterprise Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 5 years of experience in a role with demonstrated strategic and technical influence in large organization-wide projects Certification in Business Architecture Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts into smaller, manageable parts Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Deep understanding of business architecture principles and practices Ability to think strategically and drive business growth through process improvement and innovation Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At FedEx, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
