Responsibilities and Expectations

The responsibilities and expectations of the Network Security Assistant may include, but are not limited to:

• Work with business Clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop quality technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and compliance with departmental standards.
• Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
• Act as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and Innovation Groups.
• Participate in system and acceptance testing.
• Scope of work varies depending on the Group project.

Information, Skills, Work Style, and Abilities

* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

• Fundamental knowledge of data security and threat mitigation standards, theories, and strategies preferred.
• Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred.
• Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement is preferred.
• Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to plan, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required.
• Openness to Agile philosophies preferred.
• Coursework or experience related to Network Security preferred.
• Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines.
• Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred.
• Experience solving business problems in a capstone or case competition preferred.
• Functions well in a culture that is open, direct, transparent, gracious, and empathetic.
• Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor.
