Experienced Medical Writer
Job Description:
- Development and delivery of high-quality scientific content on a fast-paced and growing global publications account
- Providing clients with a high level of scientific expertise on medical communications projects, with a focus on publications, including abstracts, posters and manuscripts
- Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on the work of other medical writers
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and the wider therapy area
- Ensuring quality and consistency across multiple deliverables
- Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts
- Building collaborative partnerships across internal teams
- Identifying opportunities to grow a contemporary publications account and actively participating in idea generation
Requirements:
- A strong academic background in life sciences
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a medical writer supporting publications in a healthcare communications agency
- Excellent storytelling abilities – a creative thinker who enjoys transforming complex science into clear, accurate and engaging content
- Strong editorial skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to be engaging and confident in verbal communication
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues and working as part of a team
- The ability to keep calm under pressure, work on multiple projects in parallel and meet agreed deadlines
- Confidence to make decisions and drive projects forward
