Experienced Medical Coder, Biller & Scribe (Family & Internal Medicine)
Please read the entire description carefully before applying. We are seeking a dedicated, highly experienced Medical Coder, Biller, and Scribe to join our healthcare team. This position requires an absolute commitment of 4 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MST. You must be actively at your computer and focused solely on our clinic's tasks during these hours. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of ICD-10 coding specifically tailored to Family and Internal Medicine. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables •Chart Preparation: Create comprehensive, accurate clinical visit notes immediately following scribing sessions.
- ICD-10 Coding: Review provider-prepared claims, ensure correct clinical coding, and code newly prepared visit notes accurately.
- Claim Submission: Submit finalized medical claims to insurance clearinghouses and payers.
- Billing & Invoicing: Manage patient accounts, send invoices, and actively pursue unpaid balances.
- Insurance Verification and credentialing: Verify patient benefits, copays, and eligibility prior to appointments.
Technical & Environment Requirements
- Internet Speed: connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download speeds.
- Hardware Setup: A dual-monitor setup (second screen is mandatory) to manage workflows efficiently.
- Audio Gear: A high-quality noise-canceling headset for clear communication.
- Workspace: A dedicated, strictly quiet workspace free from background noise and distractions.
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine medical billing and coding.
- Expert-level mastery of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Seamless capability to perform live, real-time scribing during patient encounters.
- Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality practices.
- Uncompromised availability during Mountain Standard Time (MST) hours.
