About the Role of a Freelance Legal Transcriber As a freelance legal transcriber, you will be responsible for editing and formatting AI-generated legal transcripts on the Verbit platform. This will involve listening to audio recordings of legal proceedings, such as depositions, hearings, and trials, and ensuring that the transcript is a true and accurate record of the proceeding. You will also be responsible for formatting the transcript according to client guidelines, which may include adding headers, footers, and other formatting elements. To be successful in this role, you will need to be fluent in English, have excellent listening and typing skills, and be able to adhere to client guidelines. You will also need to be coachable and comfortable receiving quality feedback, as well as responsive to email communication.
