English/Math Tutors (Remote). Part time
About the position The Virtual Tutor position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing educational support to K-12 students in reading and math. This part-time, remote role involves conducting individual and group tutoring sessions, focusing on Advanced Placement (AP) courses and SAT preparation. Tutors will utilize various educational tools and technologies to enhance learning and ensure students achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities
Conduct individual tutoring sessions using Exact Path for 2nd-8th grade and Freckle for high school students. , Lead group tutoring sessions utilizing Standards Plus curriculum. , Tailor instruction to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring alignment with their academic goals. , Create and manage Google Meet sessions, ensuring timely invitations are sent to students. , Facilitate a productive and engaging learning environment in both individual and group sessions. , Document the topics covered in each session using Google Forms. , Record and monitor student attendance using Google Form and Google Spreadsheets. , Track and record STAR 360 results for student assessments. , Monitor student attendance during Google Meet sessions. , Send email reminders to students and parents.
Requirements
Proven experience in tutoring K-12 students in reading and math. , Strong understanding of AP courses and SAT preparation. , Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Meet, Google Forms, etc.). , Excellent verbal and written communication skills. , Ability to build rapport with students and keep them engaged. , Comfortable using technology to facilitate virtual learning sessions. , Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Nice-to-haves Experience with educational tools like Exact Path, Freckle, and Standards Plus.
