Elementary Interventionist
The Elementary Interventionist works with at-risk students in a virtual school setting to provide targeted remediation and support academic growth through individualized and small group interventions. The role is essential to implementing the school's data-driven, student-centered instructional model at Alabama Virtual Academy. Key Responsibilities: Modifies curriculum to meet individual student needs, collaborates with general education teachers on intervention plans, oversees RTI data collection and progress monitoring, and provides training and support to school staff on RTI implementation. The role also involves coordinating with special education teams, educating parents on instructional strategies, and traveling up to 20% for professional development and student testing. Skills & Tools: Strong knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI) systems, data analysis and progress monitoring, curriculum adaptation, collaborative communication with teachers and parents, and ability to work effectively in virtual/online educational environments. Must demonstrate leadership in supporting staff implementation of intervention strategies and managing educational data. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and active Alabama Elementary Teaching Certificate required. Must be able to clear required background checks and have the ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
