Electronic Services Specialist – Bankcard
Commerce Bank is committed to helping people find financial safety and success, and they are seeking an Electronic Services Specialist – Bankcard to manage customer inquiries related to debit, credit, and corporation cards. This role involves preventing loss to the bank, providing high-quality customer service, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review account activities, and provide reporting and product changes
- Minimize risk to the Bank and ensure compliance with Visa, MasterCard, and federal regulations
- Monitor several centralized email boxes and various systems to respond to customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide high touch customer service that reflects empathy and a positive attitude when responding to customer’s questions and requests via phone/email
- Adhere to all internal controls to mitigate risk
- Serve as a backup to other positions in the department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Basic knowledge of association and federal regulations
- Basic analytical, initiative, independent thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and escalate issues as appropriate
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 1+ year banking operations experience required
- Experience within the credit/debit card industry preferred
