Director of Corporate Communications

Director, Global Corporate Communications and Media Relations The Sage Group’s client, a company who helps organizations unlock the full value of their data through innovative solutions, giving candidates the opportunity to work on impactful technology that makes information more accessible, actionable, and meaningful, is seeking a Director of Global Corporate Communications to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a global communication strategy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing communication initiatives that enhance the company’s brand reputation, engage key stakeholders, and support business objectives. This is a leadership position that requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while also having the ability to dive into the details and execute on the strategy. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global corporate communications strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and values. Key areas of focus include Public Relations and social media, with Internal Communications as a secondary focus.
• Drive external communications, including media relations, press releases, and thought leadership initiatives to enhance the company's brand positioning as the leader in the Gartner DCG category.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers to ensure positive coverage and visibility for the company.
• Oversee the development of social media earned strategies and partner with internal stakeholders on execution to amplify the company’s presence on relevant platforms and engage with our target audience.
• Lead internal communications efforts to foster employee engagement, alignment, and understanding of company goals and initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and executive leadership, to ensure consistent messaging and communication across all channels.
• Monitor key performance metrics, share of voice, social media followers, and competitive voice trends to inform communication strategies and proactively address potential issues and/or opportunities

Ideal candidates will possess and offer the following skills, experiences and ways of working:

• Experience in SaaS business, preferably in email / electronic communications or voice compliance archiving and surveillance markets
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related role, with a focus on global initiatives.
• Strong media relations skills and a track record of securing positive media coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into effective communication strategies.
• Experience in crisis communication management.
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a communications team and/or agencies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment.
• Ability to travel is required (approximately 20-30%, depending on time of year) to support events and/or company meetings

This is an FTE role Remote – NY area, Los Angeles or San Francisco locations HIGHLY preferred. Remote role with some travel Compensation: $175,000/year to $225,000/year + corporate bonus + equity + benefits
