Director of Clinical Informatics (RN) - Vetter Senior Living

In this role, you will serve as a trusted clinical expert and educator, helping our teams deliver exceptional care while ensuring accurate and compliant documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support ICD-10 diagnosis coding accuracy across Vetter communities
- Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for our electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Audit clinical documentation, coding workflows, and system utilization to ensure compliance and quality
- Provide targeted education and coaching to improve documentation practices
- Partner with operations, financial services, and billing teams to resolve coding-related concerns
- Guide teams through system updates, regulatory changes, and evolving documentation standards
- Drive process improvement initiatives that increase consistency, efficiency, and accountability
- Build strong relationships across departments to support collaboration and success
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis coding
- Experience working with electronic health records and clinical documentation workflows
- Ability to translate clinical needs into system solutions and process improvements
- Strong communication skills -- both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel to support our communities as needed
