DevOps Systems Engineer

The ClearObject Engineering Services division is a managed service provider. Our primary focus is managed services for the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) Java application (previously known as the Rational Toolset). We are the sole managed service provider of the IBM ELM SaaS offering. ClearObject operates worldwide with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness. Summary: ClearObject seeks a self-motivated individual with the background to be proactive and implement best practices in our heavily RedHat Linux-dominated environment. An Ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of open-source technologies and how to integrate them into an enterprise. Responsibilities: ● Work alongside the Security team to provide comprehensive operating system compliance with established industry best practices. ● Develop Ansible Roles, bash scripts, Systemd service files, etc. to automate Linux management tasks ● Provision and manage cloud resources ● Ability to research and develop innovative solutions. ● Experienced in tying technologies together to create solution packages ● Work with other members of the team to ensure a seamless integration of cloud solutions with the organization's existing infrastructure ● On-call rotation participation. Requirements: ● 3+ years of experience in Linux Systems administration at the enterprise level ● Strong understanding of Linux Operating System viewed through Enterprise needs ● Demonstrated history of meeting business objectives with comprehensive solutions ● Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP is a plus. ● A desire to always improve. ● Ability to document, train, and spread knowledge. ● Basic knowledge of Windows Systems Administration. ● Excellent communication and teamwork skills ● Ability to work independently and as part of a team ● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Additional Information To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
