DevOps Infrastructure Engineer + Python

Job Title: DevOps Infrastructure Engineer + Python Job Location: Remote, USA We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer with a strong Python background to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure platforms. This role will play a critical part in automating deployments, optimizing system performance, supporting cloud-native architectures, and enabling enterprise-grade integrations across distributed environments. The ideal candidate combines hands-on DevOps expertise with solid Python development skills and a deep understanding of modern infrastructure, containerization, cloud platforms, and system reliability. In this role, you will · Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. · Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate enterprise workloads with Kubernetes. · Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, reliable build and deployment processes. · Create and enhance Python-based automation and integration tools to support infrastructure and DevOps workflows. · Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimization solutions to ensure high availability and system reliability. · Manage system administration and security, including Linux/Windows servers, networking, API security, authentication, and data privacy. · Support enterprise integrations and scalability initiatives, including LDAP/SSO connectivity, vector databases, and distributed systems. What you’ll need to succeed (required skills) · 3+ years of Python development experience, with a strong foundation in system integration. · 4+ years of experience in DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering. · Hands-on experience with: o Docker and Docker Compose o CI/CD pipeline design and implementation o Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) o Monitoring and logging tools · Strong background in Linux and Windows system administration. · Experience with network configuration, security, and performance optimization. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $ 90,000 to $105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
