CPA
Job Description:
- Oversee complex tax preparation and planning
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations
- Provide strategic insights for a wide range of clients
- Prepare and review individual and business federal tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065)
- Prepare and review adjusting journal entries and calculated-to-tax differences for business returns
- Prepare and review reconciles tax depreciation, gain & loss calculations, and asset roll forwards
- Review U.S. international tax calculations and workpapers, including forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8804, and 1042
- Prepare Texas Franchise Tax reports and state income tax returns
- Manage extensions and quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments
- Conduct tax research using available tools and software
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Respond to notices from tax authorities and tax audits
Requirements:
- More than 10 years of CPA certification (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Minimum of 10 years of U.S. federal and state tax compliance experience
- Experience with international tax compliance (preferred)
- Proficiency in Thomson Reuters Tax Software (required)
- Spanish language skills (preferred)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, organization, communication, and analysis
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
