About the Role
We are looking for a Document Control Specialist to assist our plants and RnD teams from North America to China, with a focus on North American teams. Responsibilities include improving configuration and change management processes, ensuring data transfer between PLM and ERP systems, and managing our Business Management System. The role requires collaboration across departments and supports process efficiently in global operations.
What You Will Do
Actively participate in Engineering Change Notices to ensure adequate participation, completeness, and accuracy of work performed. Facilitate Change Review Board. Follow up KPIs and initiate actions for improvements. Manage materials (Parts, End Items), BOM structures, and Lifecycle states in various systems (CIS, PLM and ERP) and according to established business requirements. Complete change tasks and workflows in a timely manner and according to business standards. Support various teams (Project and Product Managers, Design and Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) on the development activities of new and existing products and the associated technical documents. Assist Harman manufacturing sites with inquiries and issue resolution. Monitor change tasks and take the appropriate action to facilitate closure. Lead and/or participate in user training sessions. Create and update department and business procedures, user guides and training videos. Generate reports and statistical graphs and charts. Performs related duties assigned What You Need to Be Successful Bachelor’s degree with a preference for technical manager, economics or other relevant to the role. 3+ years of working in an RnD environment. Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably Windchill. Strong process orientation with problem-solving skills. Critical thinking and ability to make decisions. Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment while also being proficient in handling monotonous tasks. High-level proficiency of MS Excel, Power BI. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required, with experience operating across global teams in a multi-cultural environment. Excellent presentation skills. Bonus Points if You Have Experience in supporting R&D and manufacturing environments. High-level proficiency of Power BI. Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP) Proficiency in creating and maintaining flowcharts. Previous participation in business process improvements What Makes You Eligible Willingness to travel in rare circumstances Willingness to work in an office.
