Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and driven Community Sports Organizer to spearhead their initiatives on a fully remote basis. This role is dedicated to fostering community engagement and participation in sports through innovative online and outreach strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing virtual sports programs, connecting local organizations, and promoting healthy lifestyles through accessible sporting activities. The ideal candidate is a natural connector with excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of community sports development, and a proven ability to engage diverse populations virtually. As a remote-first position, you will have the autonomy to design and execute impactful programs from your location, collaborating with a dispersed team. We are looking for a proactive individual who can inspire participation, build strong community partnerships, and create lasting positive change through the power of sport.

Key Responsibilities

Design, plan, and execute community sports programs and events, primarily leveraging virtual platforms and digital engagement strategies. Develop and manage online content and resources to support community sports participation and education. Build and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, non-profits, and sports leagues. Promote health and wellness through accessible sports activities, encouraging participation across all age groups and abilities. Organize virtual sporting challenges, workshops, and leagues. Develop marketing and communication plans to promote programs and increase community awareness. Seek and manage grant opportunities and funding sources for community sports initiatives. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for program support. Track program participation, gather feedback, and report on outcomes and impact. Stay informed about best practices and trends in community sports development and virtual engagement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Community Development, Public Health, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in community program coordination, sports development, or event management. Proven ability to develop and manage programs, preferably with a focus on virtual or remote delivery. Strong understanding of community engagement principles and sports development strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Proficiency in using virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack) and project management software. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience in marketing and promoting community programs. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Passion for sports and community building.

Benefits

Competitive annual salary. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. Generous paid time off and holidays. 401(k) retirement plan with company match. Opportunities for professional growth and development. Fully remote work flexibility. Supportive and collaborative team environment. Chance to make a tangible impact on community well-being through sports. Apply To this Job
