Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster
Auto / Property Damage Claims Adjuster Location: Kentucky (Preferred) | Candidates in neighboring states may be considered Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000 Base Salary + Benefits Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Auto/Property Damage Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve commercial auto property damage claims. This role offers a high degree of autonomy while working closely with clients, claimants, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate commercial auto property damage claims from FNOL through closure.
- Review policy language and determine coverage, liability, and damages.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
- Manage total loss claims, including valuations, salvage, title processing, and settlements.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, vehicle owners, and lienholders.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation and timely file management.
- Provide regular claim updates and recommendations to clients and excess carriers.
- Participate in claim review meetings and present reserve and settlement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to urgent claim matters, including occasional after-hours situations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial auto property damage claims handling experience.
- Active Adjuster's License required.
- Strong understanding of coverage analysis, liability investigations, and damage evaluations.
- Experience handling total loss claims and settlement negotiations.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
