CNA to LPN Bridge Program
About the position This program, in partnership with University of Hawai’i Maui College’s hybrid Practical Nursing (PN) program, is designed for working CNAs and other healthcare professionals who aspire to become Licensed Practical Nurses. Eligible employees across four islands can pursue this opportunity while continuing their employment. Graduates will receive a Certificate of Achievement and be prepared to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse at Ohana Pacific Health Communities. The program runs from January 2027 to December 2027. A separate UHMC nursing program application is required and will be available in September 2026.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii or currently enrolled in a State Approved Nurse Aide Program.
- Bridge Program requires prerequisites completed by September 2026
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
