What will you do? We are seeking a Claims Representative, Total Loss to manage the backend of Clearcover’s auto total loss pipeline. In this role, our estimators handle upfront vehicle valuations via Mitchell with the support of its Intelligent Estimating capability. Your core mission is to serve as the “Title Master” — navigating Copart Title Express to clear complex document defects, while maintaining the claims agility to step into Mitchell to value total loss vehicles, then negotiate and settle when called upon. You are a total loss process expert who brings precision, urgency, and a customer-first mindset to every file. Salvage & Title Mastery — Own the end-to-end salvage process using Copart Title Express and secondary vendor tools; resolve “outside the norm” title defects including out-of-state lienholder hold-ups, estate/deceased owner issues, and missing powers of attorney Storage Mitigation — Monitor vehicle transit and yard check-ins daily to eliminate storage tracking bottlenecks at tow yards Hybrid Valuation Support — Review and audit vehicle evaluations generated by estimators; step in to handle advanced negotiations and close final settlements with policyholders or claimants, navigating them through the entirety of the process Pick up and drive resolution of total losses identified by external parties — including vendors, independent appraisers, and direct repair shops — including valuation completion and settlement Cross-Functional Hand-off — Partner with the estimating team and admin support to ensure settled files are immediately cleared for rapid payment processing Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate total loss documentation, support vehicle valuation review, and streamline title defect tracking and resolution workflows What do you need? Active, in-good-standing Resident or Designated Home State (DHS) Adjuster License in Texas (TX) or Florida (FL) with multi-state reciprocity required 3–5 years of direct experience navigating Copart / Copart Title Express to resolve non-standard title tracking defects Strong background utilizing automated total loss platforms — Mitchell WorkCenter/TLV preferred; CCC ONE with willingness to train on Mitchell accepted Proven ability to explain vehicle valuations, ACV adjustments, and salvage laws to insureds clearly and empathetically Multi-state handling experience strongly preferred Comfort using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to streamline claims documentation, support valuation review, and improve workflow efficiency preferred Bonus Points: Experience handling total loss files in TX, FL, and additional reciprocal states Familiarity with Clearcover’s claims systems or similar insurtech platforms Experience working in a technology-forward or insurtech environment Hands-on experience using AI tools to automate total loss documentation, summarize valuation disputes, or accelerate title defect resolution Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer But wait, there's more… As a people-first company, your health and well-being is a priority at Clearcover.
