Shawnee Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder for our Shawnee Health Remote Billing office. This position reports directly to the Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager. Responsibilities · Completes coding and posting of charges for all provider specialties and payer types utilizing the patient encounter information as directed by physicians and medical records notes. · Completes coding and posting for all hospital related visits and surgeries. · Have a comprehensive understanding of coding rules and regulations by CMS, AMA, ADA and Medicaid. · Conducts coding audits and reports feedback back to clinicians for educational and compliance purposes. Requirements · High School Diploma · Certified Professional Coder certification (CPC or CPC-A) · Must maintain CEUs for CPC certification · Must reside in Illinois · Must live within a 50-mile radius of Carterville, Illinois Starting salary - $18-$19.10 Full-time employee benefits include: · 12 vacation days earned in the first year · 11 paid personal days/holidays per calendar year · 6 sick days earned per year · Retirement plan with 3% company contribution after becoming eligible in the plan (a matching contribution by the employee is not required to receive this benefit).
