Central Scheduling/Preregistration - Remote Position after Training
Job Summary Reporting to the Manager of Pre-Visit Services, this position facilitates patient access to hospital and clinical systems by providing patient scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification, and collection of payments for services. The role supports patient registration processes and ensures accurate patient and insurance information within hospital systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in patient registration, hospital billing, scheduling, insurance verification, or healthcare access services preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of third-party payors.
- Knowledge of Medicare billing practices and regulations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Insurance verification experience.
- Knowledge of insurance billing practices.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
