Business Analyst / Power BI
Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: Business Analyst / Power BI. Location: Woodbridge VA ( Hybrid ). Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Power BI Developer, or Analytics Consultant.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
- Proven experience integrating Power BI with:
- SEEQ
- SCADA systems
- SQL Server
- Solid understanding of water utility operations or other process/asset-intensive industries (utilities, energy, manufacturing).
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting or working with ML/AI analytics and time-series data.
- ML/AI-ready datasets and validation outputs.
- Experience in integrating Power BI with other tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in water or wastewater utilities.
- Familiarity with time-series databases and historians.
- Experience with Python or R for data preparation and ML support.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Power BI Service deployment.
- Experience with GIS data integration.
- Understanding of asset management and CMMS systems.
Deliverables:
- Integrated Power BI dashboards leveraging SEEQ, SCADA, and SQL Server data.
- Documented data models, KPIs, and analytics workflows.
- User training and documentation for analytics consumers.
