Associate Investigator, Trust and Safety
Description
- Manage high volumes of inquiries in Intercom and communicate clearly and professionally with users.
- Review sign-up, login, and transaction fraud triggers and block fraudulent platform behavior.
- Conduct investigations to detect suspicious activity, including identity and payment verification sessions.
- Review user content for compliance with community guidelines and Terms of Service.
- Process and manage global data deletion requests.
- Research and document complex chargeback disputes.
- Look for opportunities to improve internal processes and workflows.
- Help maintain marketplace integrity and trust across the platform.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Customer Support.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate evolving fraud trends.
- High emotional resilience and adaptability in a fast-changing operational environment.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a focus on objectivity and clarity.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Passion for helping make the internet a safer, more trustworthy place.
- Energized by investigating issues and working collaboratively with others.
- Have a sense of humor and enjoy working with others.
- Proficiency with Google Sheets is a plus.
- Experience with Stripe and Intercom, or similar CRM and payment platforms, is a plus.
- Prior experience with Forter, Sift, or other automated fraud detection tools is a plus.
- Experience handling marketplace-specific disputes is a plus.
