Role Name: Assoc Instructional Design/eLearning Dev Location: Fountain Valley, CA 92708 Work Environment: Onsite Schedule: Mon - Fri, 40hrs/week Contract length: 2 months assignment with possible extension Note: Epic certification in Grand Central/Prelude (Associate) required Job Summary: The team uses instructional design and multimedia development skills to transform curriculum content into engaging instructional modules using multimedia and a variety of interactive, web-based learning tools. They collaborate with Epic analysts and technical teams to solve complex content and delivery challenges. Instructional Designers/eLearning Developers identify performance gaps, design effective learning solutions, and create training programs based on analysis while evaluating learning outcomes. The Associate Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer plays a key role in planning, designing, developing, and coordinating training materials, eLearning content, and courses. This role focuses on creating visually engaging, interactive, scenario-based learning experiences that drive positive learning outcomes through role-specific content. The Associate Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer collaborates with cross-functional team members, contributes to course design and development, and ensures all learning materials meet high quality standards through comprehensive testing. The overall objective is to support organizational training initiatives by delivering effective, engaging, and high-quality learning solutions. Job Responsibilities: -Develop academic courses and learning modules -Apply adult learning theories to improve user’s performance and productivity. -Test completed courses for functionality, quality, and timing -Apply contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templates -Collaborate with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancements. -Develop knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenarios -Adjust educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback received -Ensure system changes and updates are incorporated into existing documentation and curriculum. -Maintain expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned software / Epic modules. -Assist in maintaining and testing the training environment -Be at work and be on time -Follow company policies, procedures and directives -Interact in a positive and constructive manner -Prioritize and multitask -Develops academic courses and learning modules using course management software, web authoring tools, and eLearning technologies to meet strict timelines. -Contributes to the design, development, and production of learning materials using digital media (audio, video, and web) and the application of instructional design principles. Applies adult learning theories to improve user’s performance and productivity. -Produces eLearning courses on time and aligns those programs with an overall learning outcomes strategy. Tests completed courses for functionality, quality, timing and recommend edits to improve accuracy and learner experience. -Applies contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templates to develop and maintain training material, job aids, exercises, activities, and documentation enhancing the learning process. -Supports the formative evaluation of educational content/formats and collaborates with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancements. -Writes concise, compelling course descriptions and clear learning objectives. -Develops knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenarios that reflect the course objectives and content. Assist in the evaluation of learner performance before, during, and after learning experiences. -Adjusts educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback received . -Coordinates training logistics (courses, classrooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with the other team members as necessary. Required Skills & Experience: -Experienced in learning design, training development and eLearning. -Experienced with web training/authoring tools and multimedia tools/players. -Past success working independently as well as in a team situation while meeting aggressive deadlines. -Demonstrated high degree of collaboration and diplomacy as well as problem analysis and creative solutions. -Demonstrated competence in designing and presenting Web Based courses. -Proven knowledge of adult learning methods. -Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Products. Preferred Skills & Experience: -Minimum of 3-years relevant Epic experience. -Proven experience in instructional education, training, and customer service. Required Education: -N/A Preferred Education: -Bachelor’s Degree. -Demonstrated knowledge of specific Epic modules and workflows; credentialed status.
